Work situation: Injection moulding production

Tool and production relocation - safe and systematic!

Almost 50 years of experience in the production of high-quality injection molds and injection-molded parts make us the ideal partner for the implementation of your projects.

With us, you can relocate your tools quickly, safely and systematically!

Sometimes it becomes necessary to relocate a tool and the entire associated injection molding production from one supplier to another. There can be many reasons for this, but the relocation of the mold and production itself presents companies with major challenges.

Critical points such as outstanding deliveries or short safety stocks are the main concerns when changing suppliers. In the vast majority of cases, a plastic component is of central importance for the assembly of a complex product. If the component is no longer available, the entire assembly can usually no longer be produced. This can result in production downtime with unpleasant consequences such as delivery delays, penalties, loss of rating, etc.

Finding a new partner who also has the specific expertise, infrastructure and flexible machine capacities is not always easy.

Why change at all?

There can be many reasons for relocating tools:

  • (Impending) insolvency of the previous supplier
  • No longer able to participate in the medical technology market due to extensive regulations
  • Dissatisfaction with quality, conditions or delivery times
  • Closure of production sites
  • Takeover of the supplier by a competitor

Our relocation concept ensures a smooth process

We offer the service of tool relocation as a complete technical and logistical solution. Our process, which has been tried and tested for many years, involves the following steps:

Clarification of all important parameters in advance

We help you avoid the threat of production downtime with unpleasant consequences such as delivery delays, contractual penalties, loss of rating, etc. We clarify important parameters such as quantity, size, range or stock levels in advance.

On-site assessment of the tool

We inspect the tool to be relocated together on site / at your current supplier's premises. As soon as our experts have checked your tool and given their approval, it can be transferred to us.

Safe tool transfer

We work together to agree the exact transportation conditions and ensure a smooth transfer of tools from your current supplier to us (even at short notice).

Thorough tool reconditioning

As soon as we receive your mold, it is subjected to an intensive analysis and refurbished if necessary. Our specialists can restore your injection molds to the best possible condition as required and desired. With this service package, your injection mold will be ready for use and productive again. You will of course receive a comprehensive warranty on all of our work.

Checking the right machine

Injection molding machines are built in such a way that they can work with interchangeable molds. However, not every mold fits every machine. We therefore check the installation dimensions right from the start and select the most suitable machine. In addition to the machine size, we also check all other required parameters such as clamping force, injection pressure, cooling capacity and much more. In this way, we ensure that your injection mold can be used at the desired productivity long before installation.

Start of production and ongoing optimization

Once we have ensured that your tool is ready for use, we carry out a sampling within a few days. As a rule, production can be restarted after just three to four weeks. Our process also provides for ongoing optimization of your tools, in which we make recommendations for improvement (e.g. with regard to extending tool life or reducing the price of the manufactured parts). In short: with us, the productivity of your tools and the quality of your components remain at the highest level.

Specialists in handling valuable production resources

The production of precisely fitting injection molds is difficult, and handling them in regular operation is demanding. Even the slightest damage to the surface or mechanics can lead to molded part defects during series production. Corrosion, caked-on plastic residues, jammed ejectors or blocked cooling channels are typical signs of wear on an injection mold. Recognizing and eliminating these is part of our responsible handling of these expensive tools.

Our mold reconditioning services

  • Cleaning the mold from corrosion and production residues
  • Polishing the cavity and the inlet and vent channels
  • Mechanical overhaul of the ejectors
  • Cleaning the cooling channels
  • Grinding out or reworking damage to the mold surface
  • Replacement of seals and other wear parts

Almost 50 years of experience in the production of high-quality injection molds and injection molded parts make us the ideal partner for the implementation of your projects. Thanks to our many years of expertise, our know-how and several hundred successful projects, we can now offer you a unique service portfolio that takes all your worries about your injection molds away.
